With battery life, the additional couple hours you might get on the pro isn't a huge deal breaker because the airs battery life is already such a leap forward from anything I've used before it you'll be hard pressed to find yourself in a situation where you're like "man I wish I got the pro for that extra battery". The air is still way up there with the pro in performance.

Meanwhile my 16" was hotter than the sun on the bottom casing and the fans were going full throttle. It's blowing my mind, I did a side by side grep string search of a 178gb database file and tried compressing it into a zip, and in both tests the M1 Air finished first, didn't get hot, still genuinely can't believe there's no fan.

I do miss parallels/bootcamp for the odd times I need windows compatibility but that didn't happen as much as I idealized it was going to when I originally bought the 16". Worst case I went 5-10 minutes longer on a huge video export in FCPX which I don't do often. Honestly the leap forward in iGPU performance was so good that I don't find myself missing much about the 5600m I had in the 16".
